The AmberJax Swim Team
Episcopal AmberJax offers one of the finest year-round USA Swimming age group and senior swimming programs in the Jacksonville area. We have created a program that caters to swimmers of all ages and abilities. AmberJax is open to all residents of the greater Jacksonville area and can join at any time during the year.
AmberJax is a not-for-profit organization and a USA Swimming sanctioned team that operates under the auspices of Episcopal High School and conducts swimming-related activities at the School’s Semmes Aquatic Center on an annual basis.
AmberJax is dedicated to providing the area youth with a year-round opportunity to train and participate in the sport of swimming. Our program emphasizes a very strict technique based program for all groups. Our coaches implement a program that is based on balance, core development, technique, starts and turns. When a swimmer becomes a member of our program he/she learns the value of sportsmanship and team work. Becoming an AmberJax swimmer is an experience that every child will gain skills that will last a lifetime.
The team trains six days a week at Episcopal’s Semmes Aquatic Center. The facility is a state-of-the-art outdoor 50-meter by 25-yard pool. It was constructed in 1995 by Weller Pools of Orlando. The site has been used as a venue for various meets, including district high school meets, Jacksonville’s Gateway Conference meets, invitationals and summer league championships.
