Below is the AmberJax training levels with
their new fees for 2010-2011. This information is also located on
www.amberjax.org and clicking on the tab, "groups". If you have any
questions, please contact Susan Schuster.
AmberJax Training
Levels
Garnett Group
$55/month or
$145/quarter*
This level is for those swimmers who are either 10 and
younger or brand new to year-round swimming. This group will
concentrate almost entirely on stroke mechanics and technique. Practice is offered 5 times
a week for 1 hour, with an attendance goal of 2 to 3 practices a
week. This group will concentrate almost entirely on
stroke mechanics and technique.
Bronze
Group
$70/month or
$190/quarter*
This level is for those swimmers who have been in a
year-around swimming program for at least a year and are proficient
at the stroke mechanics for all 4 strokes. This group will
still concentrate on stroke mechanics and techniques but will add
training philosophies and goal setting. Practice is offered 6 times
a week for 1 hour 15 minutes, The Bronze Group has an attendance
goal of 3 or 4 practices a week.
Silver Group
$80/month or
$220/quarter*
This level is for those swimmers who are 12 and younger
whose highest level of achievement is Junior Olympic cuts. This
group will continue to refine stroke mechanics, techniques and
training philosophies while adding some distance to their
practice. Practice is
offered 6 times a week for 1 1/2 hour. The Silver Group has an
attendance goal of 4 or 5 practices a week.
Gold
Group
$90/month or
$250/quarter*
This Level is
for all swimmers 13 & 14 and 12 year olds who have achieved at
least one championship cut. This group will focus on training
techniques and fundamentals while emphasis building an aerobic base
but still placing a strong emphasis on stroke mechanics and
methodologies. Gold swimmers will have practice offered 6 times a
week for 2 hours. The
Gold Group has an attendance goal of 5 to 6 times a week.
Senior
Group
$110/month or
$310/quarter*
Senior is also for swimmers age 15 and older or those who have
achieved at least one senior championship cut. Swimmers in the
Senior Group, however, will be attending three additional practices
per week from 5:30 - 7:00 a.m. Monday, Wednesday and Friday
mornings. Senior swimmers will have practice offered 9 times a
week. The Senior Group
has an attendance goal of 7 to 8 times a week.
Additional
Swimmer
$50/month or
$130/quarter*
Masters
$40/month**
The Masters group is available to any swimmer age 19 or
older. This group will practice three times a week from 5:30
to 7:00 a.m. All Masters must be a member of United States Masters
swimming. Master swimmers are welcome to also train anytime another
AmberJax group is in the water and space is available. Check

Saturday
Splashers
$30/month
This level is for swimmers who are either under 6 and/or can
only swim one length of the pool in any stroke. Practice will
be offered 1 day a week on Saturdays for 1 hour. The goal here
is to have fun, and prepare the swimmers for Age group 1 practices
and terminology. Placement swim required to determine group. We
will start this group in August.

Swimming annual registration fee: $57.00 per
swimmer

Entry
fee: A per entry fee set by the
meet director.

Travel
fee: There is a surcharge of
$20 per family for any meet outside Duval County, or a surcharge of
$10 per family for any local meet not hosted by the AMBERJAX.

Late
fee: A late fee of $10 will be
assessed to any family not paying their monthly bill by the 15th of
each month.

Available
discount: Families with more than
one AmberJax swimmer will be charged full price for the first child
and 50.00 for any additional siblings (if in the case that siblings
fall into different training groups, the first swimmer shall be
considered the one in the higher monthly due bracket), third
swimmer 50.00 and fourth swimmer is free

If one
parent becomes an active certified official for AmberJax
(EAJ); EAJ will pay for the officials Florida Swimming Registration
Dues and will receive 50.00 off the Annual Registration

checks should be made payable to "Episcopal High School.” (We
have decided to pay the USA membership as a club, to avoid sending
personal checks.)
